So, first thing to know about my #1 favorite type of art is… well, the basics. 1st up: shapes and character design. when you first start, use mostly geometric shapes. When you get better, use non-geometric more often. That’s what I found easiest, at least. For character design, draw different figures, and whatever you like best, use it. I put an image of my design higher up. That’s the first step. #2: animals. now, I would’ve put animals in the first step, but they are much more complicated. Use a reference, draw how it really looks, and then stylize it in your style. It takes a while to get good at animals, so don’t feel discouraged. In fact, I still don’t have them down! #3: color. This step is completely optional, but it’s good to get good at it. chose a good color palette to work with that fits your drawing style. I personally like a vibrant color palette, meaning bright colors that catch the eye. #4: Ideas. Overall the most important thing is how you get Ideas. I personally just pull ideas from my brain, because I have a brain that goes EVERYWHERE. You, however, might need inspiration. you can just google something, use a writing ideas source and draw it, or really anything. If it gets the pencil moving, it works. Those are drawing basics. I hope they were helpful!
